Work on a map with other people
Work on one map with other people.
Invite people and choose a role#
If you own the map, press People in its toolbar, then Invite people… (Manage access… once someone is on the map). In "People on this map", type an email address, choose a role and press Add.
- Can view. Reads the map and changes nothing.
- Can comment. Reads the map and leaves comments; changes no block.
- Can edit. Reads and edits the map's content.
Viewers and commenters are free on every plan, up to 50 people on one map. Adding an editor makes the map a shared workspace (the map, not the Workspace plan), and your plan decides how many you can have (Upgrade plan is in the account menu; the figures are on one page):

Open one branch only#
A branch is a block and everything that grows from it. To give a person one branch instead of the whole map, open their row in the People menu and press Branch. Pick the branch next to "Branch" (the default is "Whole map"), then choose what they see of the rest:
- Sees the whole map. They read every block and change only the ones in their branch.
- Sees only their branch. The rest of the map is not in what they load at all: not hidden, absent.
The picker appears once the map has a block.
Seat an assistant on one branch#
An assistant's key or a Telegram bot can be seated on one branch too, so it changes only that branch. Press Agents in the toolbar, choose Seat an agent on a branch…, then press the block the branch starts at: that block and everything under it. In the card that opens, choose how far the assistant may read beyond the branch under "Beyond that branch", then either Issue a key for this branch or press Seat here on a Telegram bot that is already on this map. A key's seat is fixed when it is issued: to move it, issue a new key and revoke the old one. A bot can also be moved from More ▸ Map settings ▸ Agents. Deleting the block a bot sits on deletes the bot.
Let a member's assistant in#
The people you added can reach the map from their own AI assistants only when you allow it. Open More ▸ Map settings ▸ Agents (or press "Agents on this map" in the People dialog) and tick "Let people on this map reach it from their own AI tools" under "Members’ own AI tools".
This is a second permission, separate from editing, and it starts off. They still see only the branch you gave them.
Talk, comment and share files#
- Talk. Press Workspace chat in the toolbar to talk to the people on the map, not to the
builder. Type @ and a name to mention someone who has opened the map. To write to one person, choose Message on their row in the People menu.
- Share files. The + beside the message box ("Attach something, draw, or record") offers
Picture…, File… and Draw….
- Comment. Press Add a comment, then click anywhere on the map, not only on a block. The pin
opens a thread: Reply, then Resolve or Reopen. Hide comments folds the pins away. Owners, editors and people with "Can comment" can comment; a comment holds up to 2,000 characters and a map up to 500.
Record your screen or your voice#
In the workspace chat, press the same + and choose Record screen (Screen only or Screen and microphone) or Record a voice message. The recording arrives as a message that plays in place; when it has speech, the transcript appears below it a moment later. A browser that cannot record hides the row.
A recording counts against your storage, and its transcript has its own allowance; both are on Plans and allowances. To free the space, open Media & files, choose Recordings, and use ⋮ then Remove on the recording. The owner of the map can remove any recording, except one sent in a private conversation, which belongs to the people in that conversation alone; everyone else can remove the ones they made. A message that carried it stays and says "Recording removed". If the removal fails, the recording stays and you are told, so you can press Remove again.
A file you sent is removed the same way, from Media & files or from More ▸ Map settings ▸ Storage, and the message that carried it says "File removed". Storage lists everything the map holds, with its size, so you can see what to remove.
Notifications#
The bell, Notifications, sits in the dashboard header and in a map's sidebar. It tells you about changes to a map you own, comments on it, messages in its chat and when somebody mentions you. Mark all read clears the dots.
Choose what you are told about in Settings ▸ Notifications: one row for each kind of event, and a column for each place it reaches you, Inbox, Email and Telegram.
Email and Telegram are on Pro and Workspace; on Free those two columns say "Not in your plan". They carry a digest of what is still unread, never one message per event: at most one email every 12 hours and one Telegram message an hour. The Telegram digest goes to the chat you have connected to Corlecti Map.
