viewpoints
Nobody you invite gets a copy of the map.
The same map comes up differently for everyone who opens it. Four ways in, and one map under all of them.
A branch is one block and everything under it. Open the map as the person who keeps it, and every branch is there, everyone's. That is where the work assembles, and it is the one way in that shows all of it.
Open it as somebody you gave one branch. Then as a second person, on a branch of their own.
Once more as that person's own agent, Claude Code or Cursor, which reaches exactly what they reach. One of those four is not a person.
The shape you already built is what decides who sees what, and you never draw a second one for sharing. What changes between the four is how much of the map is there, and nothing else about it moves.
who may come
A map is yours until you hand it over.
You choose what each person can do: look, comment, or edit.
Look
They open the map and read it. A link you publish reaches whoever holds it, and reading is the whole of what it carries. Take that link down, and the map is back to the people you invited.
Comment
They write on the map without changing what is on it. Everybody else who can open the map sees their comments, and you answer in the place they wrote.
Edit
By invitation, and by name. A published link never carries the right to edit, however far it travels. Nobody arrives at your map able to change it, and nobody can pass the invitation on.
Taking it back
An invitation names one person, and it is the only way to open a map you have not published. You take it back in the same place you wrote it, the moment you decide.
one branch
A new person, and one branch of the map.
A block is one note on the map. Hand somebody one of them, and the work under it becomes their whole map.
No plan caps how many people are on one map, so you can open a branch to each of them. What they may do inside it is the same choice you make on a whole map.
One branch, one person
Pick the block their work sits under, and hand them that. It stays inside the same map you go on keeping. Open a second branch to a second person, and the two never meet.
And their own agent, if you let it in
A person's own agent can be let into the shared map. The map's owner switches that on, one person at a time. It works inside what you gave its person, and nothing else opens to it.
What you keep
The whole map stays yours, and every branch you opened assembles in it. You read the work there, on the map you already had. Nobody had to send you anything back.
on the map
What lives on the map beside the blocks.
A group leaves more on a map than blocks. All of it sits on the thing it is about, so there is no separate place to go and check.
The conversation
People talk on the map itself, in its own thread. A decision ends up beside what it was about, and six months later it is still there. The conversation comes with Pro and Workspace, on every map you share.
Files
Drop a file on the map and it stays there, in the branch it belongs to. Anyone who can open that branch can open the file. Files come with Pro and Workspace too.
Tabs
A map carries tabs, so the links the work needs open where the work is. The free plan holds 5 tabs on a map, Pro 12 and Workspace 30. Everyone on the map opens the same ones.
Comments
A comment is a pin, and it goes anywhere on the map. Put it on a block, or in the gap between two blocks where the question actually sits. Every plan has comments.
Screen recordings and voice messages
Record the screen, or leave a voice message, and it lands on the map written out as text. The recording stays beside the text, so you can go back to it. Every plan has these.
the plan
You pay for the people who edit.
Nobody else on the map adds to the bill.
Workspace is $29/mo per editor. Billed for a year it is $23/mo per editor, which is $72 less over the year.
Looking and commenting cost nothing, on every plan and in any number of people. The price follows the editors and nothing else.
On Pro you can share one map with editors. Workspace puts no ceiling on how many, so a second project needs no second plan.
However many branches you open, it is still the one map you shared.
Bots of your own, under your own name, have no ceiling on Workspace either. Each one is a way into the maps you point it at, for the people you add to it.
The price you subscribe at is the price you keep.
